An adjustable K10-11 floor lamp designed by Tapio Wirkkala for Idman Oy in Finland during the 1950s. The sculptural construction combines a slender brass stem with black-painted metal elements, including a conical shade, circular base and counterweight.
The long counterbalanced arm allows the position and direction of the light to be adjusted. Wirkkala’s restrained composition gives the lamp a precise architectural quality characteristic of postwar Finnish design.
