A unique Finnish floor lamp handcrafted by an anonymous artisan, Finland, early 20th century.
Conceived as an expressive botanical sculpture, the lamp combines a wrought iron lower structure with a richly patinated copper upper section. Its curved stem supports a large, individually formed flower that serves as the shade, while a smaller flower bud and hand-shaped metal leaves.
The artisan-made construction gives the lamp a wonderfully irregular and organic character. Folded copper petals surround the exposed light source, creating atmospheric downward illumination while highlighting the green and brown tones of the naturally developed patina.
The height can be adjusted, allowing the lamp to be positioned beside a lounge chair, sofa or reading area. Both functional lighting and a singular work of decorative art, it would bring a strong sculptural presence to a layered residential, hospitality or commercial interior.
The identity of the artisan remains unknown.
