A sculptural Finnish table lamp by an anonymous designer, dating from circa the 1940s.
The lamp is defined by its expressive wooden frame. A rectangular stem rises from the substantial base before curving forward to support a cream-colored pleated fabric shade. The pronounced figure of the wood follows the architectural silhouette, giving the restrained construction a rich visual character.
A small switch is discreetly integrated into the wooden base. When illuminated, the pleated shade softens the light and produces a warm, atmospheric glow.
With its compact scale and distinctive curved profile, the lamp works beautifully on a bedside table, writing desk, console or side table. A characterful example of anonymous Finnish Scandinavian Modern design, combining natural material, craftsmanship and function.
